Catalyst Connect

Thursday 19th December 2024

Hello everyone.

This is the last Catalyst Connect for 2024, and we will take a break for a few weeks. On behalf of the Staff and Board, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the life of our Church family across 2024. Churches of our size just don’t function without a huge effort from teams of volunteers, and we are blessed with such a rich pool of resources and manpower. Well done everyone for your efforts and faithfulness! We trust that you have a wonderful time with your family and friends over the Christmas/New Year period. I know for some this “season of celebration” is tinged with sadness and loss, and we trust that the Lord will comfort and uplift you at this difficult time.

The Administration office and Foundry Café will be closed from December 24th and reopen on Monday January 6th. If there is an emergency that occurs with you or your family and you need Pastoral support during that period, please ring the office and we will follow you up.

Our Sunday worship service will only be the 8:30am timeslot for 5 weeks, starting from Sunday 29th December until we launch two services again on Sunday February 2nd. There are too many of our regular worship, production, Kids Church and café teams absent throughout this period to make normal operations viable. We have scaled back where necessary and taken the opportunity to give those teams a good break from regular commitments. There will be a Mobile Coffee Van available at Church whilst the Foundry Café is closed on the 29th of December and 5th of January.

I am looking forward to our final pre-Christmas service this Sunday, as Brad shares with us from the Scriptures about Anna and Simeon and rounds out our special Christmas focus. And then don’t forget our Christmas Eve service at 6pm, which will be a great time of celebration for one and all.

Blessings Mark

Volunteer cleaning crew needed

We already have so many wonderful teams who volunteer their time in and around our church. Thank You!

Our Church facilities are getting busier through the week, this is exciting as we are seeing our Catalyst Church vision being outworked.

To keep our church clean and well maintained we need a team of willing and able men and women who can regularly help us in cleaning and seeing our church continue to be a place that is well presented and enjoyed by all.

We would love to have you join our team of cleaning volunteers and if you are willing and able please contact Ruth Pain today at the church office or email ruthp@catalystchurch.com.au.

Sunday Morning Prayer Meeting

Every Sunday before the first church service we meet together for prayer where we pray for both services and for those watching on line. We would love to see you there at 7.45am outside of the auditorium in the covered entry.

Catalyst Counselling

Catalyst Counselling wishes you all a very Blessed and Merry Christmas, it is such a privilege to remember and celebrate our precious saviour’s birth. It can be a wonderful time of year; however, it can also be very sad, lonely, stressful, and chaotic.

Whatever your Christmas looks like, make sure you:

  • Take time for you.
  • Keep your mind your friend.
  • Breathe!
  • Make space for our Heavenly Father to speak to you.

Consider booking a session with Catalyst Counselling in 2025 for a ‘check up from the neck up’ (David Riddell).

With very much thanks for your prayers and support.

Lynne Feldon – Catalyst Counsellor.
