Hi everyone, thank you to our church family for embracing the theme of THRIVE for 2025. The staff have been receiving feedback of so many people working on areas in their life that the Lord has highlighted. It is always encouraging to see/hear people growing in their faith and allowing the Lord to mature us. Keep being open to the Lord’s leading. We refuse just to survive, we will thrive in 2025 and even more to the point we will inspire others as we grow.
We launched the idea of cross generational clusters a few weeks back and I want to give that concept another pitch and hopefully get everyone to register their interest. The idea is to have groups of four men and four women with a spread of ages, gathering to discuss life and spur one another on in faith and good works. So often, we don’t have strong generational connections or linkage s across the Church family and at Catalyst we want to foster a heartfelt consideration for those in different age brackets and to appreciate the different struggles and challenges we face. So please grab your phone and use the QR code to register.

We held our first “Encounter” night last Sunday and Sam/Jo Pain led us in the most beautiful time of worship and soaking in the Lord’s presence. These worship nights will happen every four weeks and will be primarily focused on worship and resting in the Lord. On Sunday March 9th we are holding our first “Activate” night, which is much more an equipping, impartation and “Activation” of spiritual gifts. For this upcoming “Activate” night, Alli Llewellyn and Phillip Mulzelburg will be sharing about Prophecy giving us some basic teaching and instruction. Then we will be finding ways to exercise the gift of prophecy and learn how to safely and wisely minister this gift. It will be hands on and very much intended to be a time of participation, setting up an environment where people can exercise gifts, ask questions, be trained and encouraged/guided. The best way I can describe our “Activate” nights is to see it as a workshop when we will provide understanding on a particular ministry gift but also the practical outworking of putting the gift into practice. This will be a safe and ordered environment to learn. Lock these nights in on your calendar and by the end of 2025 you will have been trained, equipped and empowered.
Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday, Blessings Mark.

Do you take things personally?
Before we can see people as they really are, we have to stop seeing them as we are – Anais Nin.
We can look at people through our own broken lenses. The degree to which we take things too personally can be a reliable indicator of our mental and emotional health. Taking things too personally is one of the major saboteurs of relationships in our marriages, work, friendships, family. We can be excellent recorders but poor interpreters. We can frequently misconstrue people’s motives and intentions.
Some truth coaches to heal the sensitive soul and educate us:
- I don’t have to assume that it is all about me.
- Did I really disappoint them or are their expectations just unrealistic.
- Jesus in me isn’t defensive here, so why should I be?
- I will not give anyone the right to define me, and even to describe me they have to earn my trust.
- Was that really rejection or just correction?
- I could take offence, but going through life offended is not how I want to live my life.
- My worth is not in their hands, it’s time to take it out and give it to Jesus. David Riddell
If you would like to know more about healing from taking offence, then book a session with Catalyst Counselling.

Some Feedback:
-
- I have gained so much insight, discovered my fears and can now do something about them.
- The notes Lynne provides after the session help me to keep working on my healing journey.
- Cannot believe I didn’t do this sooner!
